We have practiced sight word power in different ways this week. You can make your sight word power stronger by playing games with sight words, finding sight words, and writing sight words. Using a community book, we practiced the words we and like. We turned like into a sight word by spelling it, writing it, and reading it.
We learned that you can turn any word into a sight word!
We used sight word cards for our "find your match" morning greeting and to practice with a peer. The children highlighted the word we in our new community book and had the opportunity to make a new choice during academic choice; sight word stamping!
